Jo's friends

Jo lives in what appears to be a tiny old farmworkers cottage, which is actually a Tardis: it goes on and on, and is one of the last remaining such in now hyper-urban Ottawa. It is known for its vivid purple veranda, Jo's signature colour. It has what is a sort of trompe-l'ouill shed which looks like a gate, and has so much basil that the creaky wooden steps of the two back stoops groan with the weight.

Jo's tiny, perfect garden has a grape vine, a terrace, faux steps, enough small veg and herbs to feed her friends and those darned squirrels… and many parties have been had under that grape vine.

Jo usually lives in Ottawa, a place where it is usually winter, except when it is briefly not… We do have some glorious, green, hot days in the summer, and that s when her own tiny, perfect, burgeoning garden comes to life: complete wth grape vines, patio, BBQ, fantasy steps, and things growing in unimaginable splendour.  

OK, this is a start. It's more than enough to work up a sample. But it will be easier if you split it up and send me two smaller, discrete pieces, to the email address I gave you last night. We will then see if it works in a way you are happy with. I can take some time to do the splitting and sending myself, but I think you will do it more accurately and faster. What do you say?

I'll be out from noon til about 6PM, if it goes to plan. So no work on it til this evening. But start sending me stuff. We might use Google drive like we did for the Big Local files. Also, more urgently, I want you to look at what's happening on the temporary website, and decide what, if anything, wants tweaking. Keep sending messages to that address, please. It's also worth continuing to add pictures to each email so that each post has an image to add to the bulk. I also need you to help think of a name for the URL. josfriends.blogspot.com has been taken. So make up something that her friends can relate to and write out easily.
